Two charged with possession of CDS

CopyTwo men from Jena and Jonesville were arrested last week and booked into the LaSalle Parish Jail on possession of CDS charges, according to LaSalle Sheriff Scott Franklin.
On Monday, August 23, narcotic agents with the LaSalle Parish Sheriffs Office gathered information indicating that Ray
Holder, 48, of Jena, was transporting suspected illegal prescription pills
At approximately 2 p.m., that date, narcotic agents performed a traffic stop on a red Ford Mustang just west of Old River on U.S. 84. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Rickey L. Herron, 52, of Jonesville, and the passenger was identified as Ray Holder,

Both occupants were informed of their rights per Miranda and they in formed officers they understood. Both Ray Holder
were transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail in Jena where they were booked.
Ray Holder was booked on the charges of possession of CDS III (hydrocodone), and possession of CDS II (fentanyl).
Herron was booked on the charges of distribution of CDS III (hydrocodone) and possession of CDS II (fentanyl).
