Edward Raymond (Ed) Barnes was born May 16, 1931, in Anaconda, Mont., to John and Luella Barnes, He died at his home in Cowley with his loving wife and family surrounding him on Aug. 7, 2009, from a long illness.
His funeral was held Aug. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Cowley 2nd Ward LDS Church. He was buried in the Cowley cemetery.
He married Edith Jean Cook Jan. 24, 1958, in Cowley. Out of this union came three children: John Warren Barnes (Carolyn) of Cowley, Renela Marie Barnes of Lovell and Carol Jean Barnes of Casper. Ed has six grandchildren, Raymond, Christopher, Natasha, Melissa, Elizabeth and Delia Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John O. Barnes and Elizabeth Luella Vail, and nine siblings. He will be missed by those who loved him.
