Chad Lindsay of Lovell recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with a 3.97 GPA, receiving a master of business administration degree.

Lindsay is the Director of the Big Horn County Health Coalition and serves on the North Big Horn Hospital Board of Directors, the NBHH Foundation board, the Family Treatment Center board and the Lovell Inc. board. He said he liked the online classes because they fit into his schedule, allowing him to put in the work at any time of the day.

His classes began in December of 2007, continuing year-round with a two-week break for Christmas, he said. Lindsay said class work included reading, posting relevant topics in online forums, a few tests and a lot of writing, with a paper due each week.

He said he obtained the degree to add some "life security" for his family. He said he loves his current position as director of the coalition and has no plans to leave, but with current economic conditions, the future availability of grant funding is uncertain, he said. The new degree will give Lindsay more market ability for a future role and he also learned concepts that he will be able to apply to his current work, he said.

Lindsay also received a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Wyoming.
