The Loris Scene of Loris, South Carolina

LORIS | Memorial services for Barbara S. Henry, 48, were held Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 at Loris First United Methodist Church. Pastor Russell Freeman officiated the services directed by Hardwick Funeral Home.

She died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009 at Loris Community Hospital following an illness. Mrs. Henry was born Sept. 18, 1960 in Mullins to Jack Sawyer and Geraldine Herring Sawyer. Mrs. Henry worked for Babcock & Brown Properties in Carolina Forest and attended Loris First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her father: Jack Sawyer of Mullins; mother: Geraldine Sawyer of Elizabethtown, N.C.; husband: Mark Henry of Loris; son: Jason Souhrada of Loris; daughter: Ashley Henry of Loris; two brothers: Jimmy Sawyer of Mullins and Paul Sawyer of Elizabethtown, N.C.; and three grandchildren: Emily Souhrada of Conway, Grace Hagan of Loris, and Reagan Ray of Roxboro, N.C.
