The 2010 Harley-Davidson Nation of Patriots Tour came through LeRoy this past Tuesday morning showing their support toward families of wounded veterans. The group has been passing an American Flag through 48 states over 100 days in honor of all of America's Armed Forces past, present and fallen, plus their families.

The flag is now in the midwest having gone through Minnesota, coming from the Albert Lea Hog Chapter, which received the flag from the Edina Hog Chapter. The flag is scheduled to arrive in Madison, Wisconsin on Sept. 4 where it will be raised and then lowered at the Capitol building and from there will go to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin for a Homecoming Ceremony at 12 noon.

The goal of the tour was to unite as many Americans as possible behind the brave men and women who have voluntarily placed themselves in harm's way to protect the foundations, the freedoms, the people, and the future of the United States of America. The goal is to raise over $100,000 and over 100,000 people take part in this special ride.

LeRoy, in anticipation of their arrival, had the Boy Scouts and some of the Legion and Auxilary standing at attention and waiving flags. Also, Dave Streit and John Jones put up flag throughout the downtown area.
