Virginia was taken to our Lord after a long battle with Lewey Body Dementia.

Virginia was born on October 23, 1931, in Hay, Wash., to parents Virgil and Louise Hurlbert. The Hurlberts later moved to Troy, Idaho, where Virginia completed high school in 1949.

Virginia was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved animals and her children and had a lively sense of humor. Virginia worked for the University of Idaho for 33 years before retiring at the age of 62.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 54 years, Darin, and three children, Dale Anderson of Lewiston, Idaho, Vicki Anderson of Seattle and Nancy Anderson of Seattle. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Short's Funeral Chapel. Internment was at Pinecrest Cemetery in Deary. Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

Short's Funeral Chapel of Moscow has been entrusted with arrangements and online condolences can be left at www.shortsfuneralchapel.net
