Edward Dammann

Edward Dammann, 86, of Sibley died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Country View Manor.

Services were Saturday, Aug. 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley, with interment in Holman Township Cemetery.

Mr. Dammann was born Jan. 11, 1924, near Little Rock, the son of William and Anna (Jutting) Dammann. He attended country school through eighth grade and later got his GED from Northwest Iowa

Community College in Sheldon. He farmed in Lyon and Osceola counties until retiring in 1976. He then worked at Chase Bag Co. in Sibley until 1992.

On June 24, 1980, he married Helen Jones in Sibley and they lived in Little Rock.

His wife died in June 1990. He moved to Leisure Pine Manor, Ashton, in January 1992. After many years there and in an assisted living home in Sibley, he entered Country View Manor.

Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth of Round Lake, Minn., and Marvin of Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Erma Duin and Elva Behrens.
