Steve Munger Files for Office of Mineral County Clerk-Treasurer

Steve Munger is announcing that he has filed to run for the office of Clerk-Treasurer of Mineral County.

Steve is a lifelong resident of Mineral County, and attended Mineral County Schools from Kindergarten thru Twelfth Grade and is a graduate of the University of Nevada. Steve has worked in Hawthorne for many years, having been employed at the Ammunition Depot under DZB, the Mineral County School District, as well as the El Capitan Resort & Casino.

As a current member of the Mineral County Park & Recreation Board, and is the chairman of the Mineral County Fair & Recreation Board, Steve enjoys helping out the community. He has served on other Mineral County Citizens Boards, such as: Board of Directors of the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Walker Lake Golf Course.

Steve, along with his wife, Diana, have four children, collectively: Monica Grulli, Gideon Munger, Adam Gettman and Amy Gettman, along with four precious grandchildren: Zachary, Kaleb, Kaylenn and Trey with Baby Drake due in June.

When asked why he is running for the office of Clerk-Treasurer, Steve stated, "I would like to bring back that Mineral County 'help your neighbor' attitude to the office of Clerk-Treasurer. With my education and management experience in customer service and business, I feel I can be an asset to the citizens of Mineral County as their Clerk-Treasurer." Steve also states that he would look forward to working with the current staff of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office. With their knowledge of the office and his management style of serving the citizens of Mineral County in 'their' Clerk-Treasurer office.

In closing, Steve added, "I look forward to meeting all my old friends and meeting new friends throughout my campaign."
