We got some more rain! Not much, but much needed! The sun is shining, a nice day.

Two weeks ago I was feeling sorry for myself, several friends had fresh poke salad, told me how good it was, you didn't share with me! But, I did have a blessing Thursday morning, my door bell rang, there stood a friend, said 1 brought you some homegrown spinach. Good! Then said, 1 have you some "poke salad." I'm not joking, a black garbage bag full. We shared some of it, when I got my share trimmed and washed, I had a sink full. 1 used my largest pot to boil, as it began to boil, it got smaller, the longer 1 boiled, the less I had. Finally it was time to rinse the way you are

suppose to do. I put it in two zip lock bags, had one cup in each bag, that's right! I put in the freezer and cooked and ate the spinach!

Friday, 1 went to town, didn't stay too long, when 1 got home there was another sack of poke, who? Later, got a call from another friend, said did you get the poke? A friend to the friend brought it to her, told her to give it to me! I still don't know who picked it. but I will enjoy!

Sunday we had guest at Landmark Baptist,

they were guest to Tony Douglas, I met them, said I'm Clara Davis, th< man said I'm a Davis, had the name long? All my life! Said do you know where the name Davis came from? "Adam and Eve," their name was Davis, glad tc know where my linage comes from. You wonde why 1 talk about Landmark so much, because love to go to church! I stay happy all the time, being with these people, and learning more aboul God!

Friends, Leon Johnsor has been in a Tyler hospital twice lately, maybe having heart problems, let's pray for him!

A long time friend, Helen (McLain) Kilman from Malakoff, has died She was 92, went to school at Cross Roads,

has a twin sister, Hazel. When I first knew them they were the only twins 1 knew! I went to their 90th birthday party in Athens! Hazel we love you both, my sympathy to your family.

I saw my doctor Monday, wasn't sick, just a three month check up. They took blood, don't know if they called the Stewart Blood bank in Tyler or not, but it hurt! Some people can give a shot that doesn't hurt much, but with a bigger needle, it does hurt, my skin is thin, that may be the reason! Didn't get any new pill, that's good!

I will cook some of my poke next week, if it makes me smart, I may start teaching school?

Thanks for reading!
