Vonda LaRue Gallagher

Vonda LaRue Gallagher, 78, Gun Barrel City, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, in Athens.

She was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Commerce, Texas, daughter of the late George F. Blaylock and Ruby O. Holley.

She was a member of Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church.

She was co-founder of Gallagher's Paint & Body Shop, in Seven Points and had been in the area for 33 years

Surviving are three sons, Gerald and Lisa Gallagher, Gary and Melissa Gallagher, Randy and Danene Gallagher; brother, John Blaylock; sister, Janice Cleere; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents George and Ruby Blaylock; husband, Roy Gallagher; son, Ricky Gallagher.

Services were held at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church, Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chuck Weber officiating.

Interment followed in the Baker Cemetery in Kemp.
