Learning about art in Memorial Park

CopyLocal artists Tarn Goodman and Andrew Knudson met with TGU Towner art students in Towner's Memorial Park.
Mrs. Connie Semler's 4th, 5th and 6th grade art classes met with Goodman and Knudson to learn how they painted the two big murals that make up the north and south sides of Memorial Park on Main Street.
The classes are learning about the paint brushes Andy and Tam used, as well as the many different colors and how they blended the colors together to get such beautiful images.
The classes also learned where Andy and Tam got their ideas from. Tam had used a 1950's portrait of Towner's Main Street and Andy had used three different portraits of people on horses.
