Lawton students named Mside Roadman Scholars

Several area students were named Roadman Scholars at Morningside College in recognition of high academic distinction for the 2009-10 academic year.

The students are: Rebecca Anderson, daughter of Dennis and Margaret Anderson of Lawton, Iowa. Anderson, a senior who is majoring in English teaching, is a past graduate of Lawton-Bronson Community High School.

Laura Tolkamp, daughter of Kala Peterson of Lawton, Iowa. Tolkamp, a junior who is majoring in business administration, is a past graduate of Lawton-Bronson Community High School.

Heidi Lieber, daughter of Rick and Deb Lieber of Lawton, Iowa. Lieber, a senior who is majoring in business administration, is a past graduate of Lawton-Bronson Community High School.

Roni Miller, daughter of Blake and Rhonda Miller of Lawton, Iowa. Miller, a 2010 graduate who majored in biology, is a past graduate of Lawton-Bronson Community High School.

Roadman Scholars must be full-time students who have completed at least 45 credits of college work with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.76 or above. The award is named in honor of the late Dr. Earl Roadman, who was president of Morningside College from 1936 to 1956.
