Dec. 31, 1944 - Aug. 6, 2009 Cherished Husband and Father

Thornton Lee Marshall, Jr, passed away on Aug. 6. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 15 at Friendship Baptist Church in Woodland with Pastor Cedric Stanford and Superintendent Larry Mosley Officiating.

Mr. Marshall was born Dec. 31, 1944 to the late Mr. Thornton Marshall, Sr. and Mary Lizzie Marshall.

At an early age, he joined Bluff Springs A.M.E. Church in Waverly Hall. He attended Ruth Carter High School. He later moved to Atlanta where he worked at Precision Transmission for 14 years. In 1993, he joined Latter Day Ministries Church of God and Christ under the leadership of Pastor Leonard Chappie, Sr. He also married his wife of 16 years, Patricia Marshall. He became a deacon and remained a member until his death.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a devoted wife, Patricia Marshall; three daughters, Trichita Marshall, Kernyta Marshall and Latanya Williams; 12 grandchildren; three stepsons, Timothy (Billenna), Tyrone (Kesia) and Antoine Sprattling, all of Atlanta; one sister, Dollilean Marshall; three brothers, Willie A. Marshall, Wendell Marshall; Andrew P. Marshall; one sister-in-law, Linda Marshall and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and freinds.

Anderson & Marshal Funeral Home in Manchester was in charge of arrangements.
