Aug. 27, 2009 Mother of Seven

Lizzie McGill Slaton, age 92 of Gay died on Thursday, Aug. 27. The family may be contacted at her residence. Funeral services will be announced by Bently's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Slaton is survived by seven children: Lizzie Slaton of Greenville, Diane Slaton, Ida Mae Barber (Sylvester) Willie Lee Slaton and James Slaton (Annie Doris) all of Gay; Lena Lyon of Griffin, pastor W.F. Slaton (Sis. Loretta) of Luthersville; one sister, Annie Ruth McGill of Gay; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

Bentley's and Sons Funeral Home in Thomaston was in charge of arrangements.
