The Georgia-Pacific Timber Office sponsored the last breakpoint on Sunday for the 2010 Bike MS Ride at Callaway Gardens.

Georgia Boy Scouts Troop #104 from Greenville also volunteered their time on Sunday.

Riders had an option of a "short" 32 mile route or the longer 61 mile route. Riders also enjoyed several breakpoints throughout the county with volunteers providing snacks and cheering on the cyclists.

BIKE MS, Georgia's Two-Day Cycling Tradition, is a non-profit sporting event celebrating its 24th year in the fight against multiple sclerosis benefiting the National MS Society-Georgia Chapter.

Proceeds from the ride will help support various programs that aid the 8, 500 Georgians with MS and their families in all 159 counties of Georgia.

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system.

Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe - paralysis or loss of vision. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to advancing the cure, prevention and treatment of MS, and to improving patients' lives.
