City candidate filing deadline is Sept. 17

City offices will be up for election on Tuesday, November 3. That includes mayor positions and seats on city councils throughout Worth County.

In Northwood, the mayor and two city councilors will be elected. In Fertile, the mayor and three council members will be up for election. In Grafton, the mayor and all five members of the council will be elected.

All elected offices in Hanlontown will also be elected, that includes the mayor and five councilors. In Joice, there will be two open seats on the city council.

In the city of Kensett, the mayor and two city council members, as well as two vacancies on the council will be up for election. In Manly, three city council seats will be up for election.

Anyone who would like to be a candidate for a city office must file nomination papers before Thursday, September 17 at 5 p.m.

Nomination papers will be available at city halls, as well as at the Worth County Auditor's office.

Nomination papers, including the signatures of 10 respective city residents, must be returned to the office of the city clerk.
