Our guest speaker Sunday morning was Tony Jefferys who shared testimony from his recent mission trip to Cuba.

A covered dish awareness luncheon was held following worship service. During the luncheon, Rev. Dougald McLaurin presented information about the needs of Haiti and how Baptist Men of North Carolina are working with this effort. A special offering was collected to assist in trip expenses for Mike Bauer who will represent Ephesus on this construction mission.

This Wednesday: Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. - Fellowship meal followed by monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Also at 7 p.m., Cherub Choir, Children's Choir (DJCs), and Youth Bible Study. Adult choir practice at 8 p.m.

Next Sunday: Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. -- Sunday School; 11 a.m. -- Worship Service; 4 p.m. -- Praise Band practice, and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. - EBAY (Youth meeting/study).

Women's monthly Sunday breakfast and bible study: Sally Sandifer will lead us in Can We Talk" by Priscilla Shirer. This new study will begin on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 8 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All women are welcome to join this new study which will last seven sessions.

Tuesday morning women's bible study: "Attending the Bride

of Christ: Preparing for His Return." This 30 week Bible study will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 9:30 a.m. For more information and to register, contact Nina Blevins at 504-907-5641 or gracedtolive@gmail.com.

Homecoming: Sept. 19 -- Rev. Clark Rounds, former pastor at Ephesus, will be guest speaker during our worship service, followed by covered dish luncheon. Gather your family and friends together for this wonderful day. We look forward to seeing those of you that have not been in a while!
