As many in the community already know, Journal reporter and Living section editor Mary Duncan had a stroke late last month and has been recovering at Saint Peter's Hospital in Olympia.

While Mary is expected to leave the hospital later this month, there is no timeline for her return to the Journal.

In order to assist her family during the recovery process, the Journal has created the Mary Duncan Recovery Fund at Key Bank.

To contribute, simply go to any Key Bank teller and tell them to make a deposit to the "Mary B. Duncan Recovery Fun." It is that simple. There is no need for an account number and donations may be made anonymously.

The account will remain active for at least one year, or as long as there is an active balance.

While Mary is absent from the office, news editor Kevan Moore and reporter Natalie Johnson will cover her beats. Natalie is the primary contact for all Living section issues.

Key Bank is located at 410 W. Railroad in Shelton and at 23731 NE State Route 3 in Belfair.

We wish Mary a quick recovery.
