Ben was born in Ken-tucky (1931) to Hamilton Lewis and Lexie Williams, one of four siblings. He attended Dupont Manual High School in Louisville, KY, earning seven varsity letters and playing for state champion teams in both football and baseball, accomplishments that were recognized in 2004 with him being named to the Manual Hall of Fame. He continued his athletic career at Centre College (Danville, KY), earning four letters each in baseball and football, along with a degree in economics.

Ben was also a founding Board Member of John G. Ullman and Associates, a successful financial management company.

Ben and Betty moved to Sedona in 1994. Betty has enjoyed a long association with the Sedona Showstoppers.

Ben is survived by Betty; son, Steven; daughter, Susan, and granddaughter, Kathryn. The Williams Family requests memorials to the Church of the Red Rocks or the Alzheimer's Association.
