Jack Furn Brewer was born in Flagstaff, AZ to Furn Brewer and Callie Wright Brewer. Jack lived in Sedona and attended the grade school on Brewer Road until fourth grade and then attended high school and college in Flagstaff, AZ. Kids ---back then were not as shielded as they are now, Jack's dad, Furn Brewer ran a snowplow on the switchbacks, Jack's mom, Callie, would drive and run the snowplow with sons, Jack Furn, Bobby and Dave in the cab, while Furn would shovel cinders out the back.
Jack was Foreman for the State Highway Department on the 1-40 from Flagstaff to Winona. In 1966 Jack went to work for Coconino County as Foreman on the Lake Mary Road widening from 1-1 7 to Ashurst Lake Road. Jack then became a Supervisor for the Highway Department. In 1974 Jack and his brother Bobby went into business as Brewer Brothers Contracting in Sedona, AZ
Jack married Shirlee Yates on March 25, 1955. Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years, sons Jack L (Gina) of Rimrock and Dan (Lisa) of Phoenix, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, brothers Dave (Karen) and Bobby (Juanita).
Jack learned to play guitar at an early age, also loved hunting and fishing. Jack will be remembered as a loving, husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend to all who knew him.
