The Grant County Health District was halfway successful when it asked Electric City and Grand 3oulee to give $2 per resident to the district to help with expenses it incurs while servicing the county municipalities.

It is an annual request, with cities and towns giving what they think they can afford.

For 2010, Grand Coulee city council voted the full $2 for each resident, totaling $1,880, while Electric City voted not to give anything to the county health district.

Last year Electric City gave $1 per resident. Electric City mayor Jerry Sands serves on the health district board.
