Grand Coulee City Council swore in two new members May 4.

Paul Townsend was voted in by the council to occupy Position 3, recently vacated by Chester "Chip" Baer. Baer had recently moved outside the city limits.

Dave Tylor was selected by the council for Position 5, replacing Moe Evans, who recently resigned.

Tylor moved here a year and a half ago, and was a council member in Roslyn for about a year and a half.

The two had indicated interest in serving as council members in letters to the city.

Townsend is a longtime business person in Grand Coulee, owning TNT Welding.

The two new members join council members Chris Cristopherson, Mick Palanuk and Tim Ailing at the council table.
