LRHS class of 2010 graduates

They were awarded more than $120,000 in scholarships, served more than 4,300 hours in service to their community and added a Korean War veteran to their ranks.

The Lake Roosevelt High School Class of 2010 took their final kudos Saturday, ready to try their hands at the next phase of their lives after the commencement ceremony at the school

gym.

The class of 58 teenagers included 19 who graduated with honors. Eight of those achieved overall grade point averages of 3.5 or better out of a possible 4.0. Eleven more showed cumulative GPAs of 3.25 or better.

Honor Roll students who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 to 3.49: Alycia Crosby, Kelsey Edwards, Nathaniel Loch, R. Andrew Morton, Amber Toler, Jacey Heintz, Jordan Reeves, Kelcee Erickson, Cole Schilling, David Walsh, Taylor Black.

The Opal F. Smith Scholarship for $2,000 and Rob Williams Memorial Scholarship for $500: Cade Egbert.

The Evergreen State College Scholastic Achievement Award $600, the Grand Coulee Dam Rotary Scholarship for $500 a year for four years for a total of $2,000, and the Nespelem Grange #810 scholarship for $400: Amber Toler.

The George Washington Foundation Scholarship of $1,050 for two years totalling $2,100 and a Financial aid Award from CWU, $1,500: Jacey Heintz.

The Grand Coulee Dam Volunteer Fire Department for $100, the Nespelem Grange #810 Scholarship $400, the Eastern Washington University Scholarship $500, the Grand Coulee High School Alumni for $500, the Gaylord Nelson Scholarship for $500, the Grand Coulee Dam Educational Association $1,000, the Grand Coulee Dam Lions Club for $1,000, the Grand Coulee Dam Rotary Scholarship of $500 for four years totalling $2,000: Kelsey Edwards.

The Presidential Scholarship at Pacific Lutheran University of $23,000 a year for four years, totalling $ 92,000, First Place Imagine Tomorrow Competition at Washington State University for $2,500, the Grand Coulee Dam Education Association for $ 1,000, the Grand Coulee Eagles Academic Scholarship for $500, the Steve Breeze Citizenship Scholarship $500: Peter Rise.
