Tribal Election this Saturday

The Star of Grand Coulee, Washington

Colville Confederated Tribes members go to the polls this Saturday to elect seven members of the Colville Business Council.

Only one candidate was unopposed. Incumbent Michael O. Finley, was unopposed for Pos'tion 2, in the Inchelium Tribal District. He will automatically be seated.

Others running for positions this Saturday are: Inchelium District Position 1, incumbent Juanita Warren against Douglas J. Seymour; Keller District Position 1, incumbent Jeanne A. Jerred against Sylvia Tatshama Peasley; Nespelem District Position 1, incumbent Harvey Moses, Jr. against Mathew Dick, Jr.; Postion 2, incumbent Gene H. Joseph against Ricky Gabriel; Omak District Position 1, incumbent Carlene M. Anderson against Cherie Moomaw; and for Position 2, incumbent Ernie A. Williams against Lisa Nicholson-True.

The winners take the oath of office on July 8.
