Kenneth Gene Forsberg of Hart-line passed away June 2, 2010, with his family surrounding him. He was born to Harold and Eline Forsberg in Sioux Falls, S.D., on April 5, 1955. In 1974, he began his walk with God, which was his greatest strength. He spent his growing up years in Hardwick, Minn., working on the family farm.

Ken had two years of carpentry training at Pipestone Minnesota Vocational School. He then farmed on the family farm until the age of 24 when he moved to Oklahoma in 1980. He married Dianne Aldridge on February 14, 1980. Their two daughters, Laureen and Rachel, were born in Oklahoma before moving to Creston in July, 1988, to work at Houger Farms. He later worked for several different farmers in the area and loved working with cattle, haying and harvesting wheat. Ken was always looking for ways to help others. The family moved to Hartline in 1993 and raised his family there.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Dianne, at home in Hartline; his two daughters, Laureen and her husband, Brent Roberton of Hartline and Rachel Forsberg of Moses Lake; his two grandchildren, Tian and Lindi Roberson of Hartline; his parents, Harold and Eline Forsberg of Hordwick, Minn.; three brothers: Rod and his wife Aleta of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Duane and his wife Linda of White Salmon, and his twin brother Keith with his wife Sherry of Laverne, Minn.; two sisters, Jeanette and her husband Dean Richter of Rochester, Minn., and Joyce and Kevin Jacobson of Wanamingo, Minn.; along with his father-in-law Jack Aldridge of Hartline. He will be missed so much by his many friends and family.

A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. (today) Wednesday, June 9, at the Hartline gymnasium and burial followed at the Hartline Cemetery. A finger food potluck followed the graveside service at the Hartline gymnasium. Donations may be made to the Hartline Cemetery.
