Local soldier among honored

The Star of Grand Coulee, Washington

Soldiers of the 1161st Transportation Co., 419th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, a National Guard unit out of Ephrata -- including Grand Coulee Dam area native Sgt. Todd C. Winzer -- received the 10th Sustainment Brigade's patch during their Combat Insignia Patch donning ceremony in Camp Taji, Iraq.

10th SBDE Command Sgt. Maj. Allen Fritzsching told the soldiers they are helping to write the 10th Sustainment's history. Pictured from left to right are Staff Sgt. Shawn Mollenhour of Scappoose, Ore., Winzer, Sgt. Mathew Lathrop, Bellingham, Wash., and Sgt. Mario Perez from Grand-view, Wash. All are transportation specialists and leaders for the 1161st Trans. Co.
