Tribal and county police are looking for a man suspected of shooting another in Omak Nov. 5.

Colville Tribal Police issued a press release this evening saying that Rudy M. Garcia, 21, of Omak is suspected of shooting another man in the abdomen with a high powered rifle following an argument early Thursday morning.

Witnesses told police Garcia shot David E. McCraigie, then fled in a black Chevy 2008 Cobalt.

Tribal police were called to the scene at 2:10 a.m. and met by Okanogan County Sheriff deputies already at the corner of 6th Avenue and Hanford Street in East Omak.

McCraigie was taken to Mid-Valley Hospital and later flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, where his condition is still critical.

Garcia is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his location can call either tribal police at 800-551-5800, or Okanogan County Sheriff's Office at 509-422-7232, or dial 911.

Police advise that civilians should not attempt to apprehend Garcia, but call local law enforcement if he is seen.
