Annetta (Nettie) Ivie Renowden, a long time resident of Superior, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010. She was born in Fruitland, New Mexico, on Dec. 18, 1923, to Kent and Floy Ivie.
Nettie grew up in Arizona, living in Globe, Hayden and Central Heights before settling down in Superior. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband John Renowden, a son Douglas G. Renowden and a sister, Marilyn Chaffey. She is survived by a son, Ronald (Rod) J. Renowden in Silverton, Colorado; a sister, Shirley Barnard; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Melchers Mission Chapel in Mesa on Friday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m., located at 6625 East Main Street. Viewing will be available from 10-11 a.m. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa. Melchers Mortuary is handling all arrangements; you may call 480-832-3500 for information.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Banner Gardens Hospice, Inpatient Unit, 7231 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, Arizona 85208; the American Diabetes Foundation, or COPD International, 131DW ' Highway #627, Nashua, NH 03060, in honor of Nettie.
