Estela E. Chiquete

October 28, 1926 - May 23, 2010

Estela E. Chiquete passed away peacefully at her home in Dud-leyville on Sunday, May 23, 2010, surrounded by her children. Estela was born October 28,1926, in Miami, to Eduardo and Hortencia Encinas.

Estela was a-loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A homemaker, she was an excellent cook and, as hobbies, she enjoyed crocheting and ceramics.

Survivors include her children, Ernestina Chiquete, Hortencia Chiquete, Esteban (Emilia) Chiquete, Luzia Garcia, Virginia (Calvin) Ragsdale, Ernesto Chiquete Jr. and Jason (Veronica) Chiquete; sisters, Ramona (Jim) Velezis and Carmen (Raul) Gomez; a brother, Eduardo (Carolina) Encinas; 15'grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Estela was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto; daughter, Margarita; and grandson, David.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m., Friday, May 28, at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny, the Rosary at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated by Father Dale Branson at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Valley View Cemetery in Mammoth.
