Thanks to the efforts of Superior High School math teacher Michael Hohl in securing a competitive $1500 Resolution Copper grant, SHS advanced placement calculus students will have the benefit of the newest state of the art technology and other items to help them in their studies.

The grant will be used to purchase eight to 10 of the newest Texas Instruments graphing calculators. One new textbook for enrichment and a Texas Instruments software package will also be bought with the funding.

Superintendent/Principal Pete Guzman underscored the importance of the grant in terms of helping the school in keeping up with the latest technology. "We believe technology is a key component of achievement for success in our students," he said, "and Mr. Hohl is a teacher who believes in and works hard at that. This grant is an indication of his desire to improve math achievement in our school district."
