Andrew Benjamin Castañeda, 61, passed away in Tucson on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009.,
He was born in Jerome on Feb. 23, 1448.
Mr. Castaneda worked for Tucson Electric for years and later as a Spanish translator at various call centers. He was an avid reader and loved computers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Enedina S. Castaneda, and brother, Richard Castaneda.
Mr. Castaneda leaves behind a son, Xavier Castaneda of Tucson; daughter, Guillermina (Bill) Cunningham of San Antonio, Texas; father, Paul L. Castaneda of Superior; brothers, Paul (Anna) Castaneda of Mesa and Jose (Patricia) Castaneda of Superior; sisters, Olga (Joey) Lopez of Superior and Katrina (Henry) Mendoza of Mesa; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Castaneda were held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior on Saturday, Nov. 7, with a Rosary and the Funeral Mass celebrated by Father Mark Long. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Superior.
Superior Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
