Cornell, 74, of BeechmOnt, died Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born April 27, 1936 in
Greenville, the daughter of Cecil and Lelia Bertha Garrett Anderson. She was a member of Ark of Safety Church in Beech Creek and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Harold Carnell, on June 6, 1999; brother, William Lewis Cornell on Nov. 13, 2001; sister, Maebelle Bethel. Survivors include a
daughter and son-in- law, Patricia (Pat) and Marvin Brooks of
Greenville; seven grandchildren, 30 greatgrandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Daisy Rice of Greenville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville by her grandsons, Rev. Robbie Brooks and Rev. Kevin Brooks. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly.
