Apply for passports now at License Center West

Randy Schreifels, Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer, announces that License Center West, located in the new Stearns County Service Center, will begin processing passport applications Tuesday, Jan. 19. Passport photos can also be taken there. Passports must be paid for with cash or check, no debit or credit cards. To ensure service, please arrive no later than 4:30 p.m. Citizens can continue to apply for passports at the downtown Stearns County License Center as well.

License Center West will also accept notary filings beginning Jan. 19.

Please note that License Center West does NOT yet offer driver's license renewal services. License Center West can process requests for a duplicate driver's license or an address change on a driver's license.

License Center West office hours are 8-5, but the drive-through will remain open until 5:30 for license tab renewals and property tax payment drop-offs. Questions can be directed to License Center West at (320) 656-6540.

The Stearns County Service Center is located at 3301 County Road 138 in Waite Park. County Road 138 is about one block west of Mills Fleet Farm off 28th Avenue South.
