Wright County Chief Deputy Joe Hagerty is announcing his candidacy for the Office of Wright County Sheriff. Hagerty is a lifelong resident of Wright County and has been a member of the Sheriff's Office since 1985. Joe was hired as a deputy by Sheriff Darrell Wolff and began his career working in the jail, communication's center and as a patrol and K9 officer. He was promoted to sergeant by Sheriff Don Hozempa in 1995 and has served under current Sheriff Gary Miller as a lieutenant before being promoted to Chief Deputy in 2006.

Joe resides in the city of St. Michael with his family and has been involved in numerous community organizations, currently serving his third term on the St. Michael City Council.

"I've devoted most of my life to the Sheriff's Office and want to ensure our standard of service to our citizens remains high while maintaining the office's reputation as one of the most cost-effective law-enforcement agencies in the state. I will work hard ensuring our citizens a safe and enjoyable environment in which to reside and raise their families. I ask for your support in November's election for Wright County Sheriff."
