Steven Keske, 60

Steven Keske died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at his Annandale home from cancer. He was 60.

Funeral services were held at 11a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven with Pastor Timothy Nerud officiating. Friends called from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. A prayer service was held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial was in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.

Steven Louis Keske was born July 3, 1949, in Minneapolis to Orville and Irene (Korsten) Keske. He graduated from Robbinsdale High School with the class of 1967. Steve lived in Cambridge for 25 years before moving to Annandale in 2007. He worked as an operating engineer for Unity Hospital for 31 years. Steve enjoyed fishing, watching Minnesota Twins and NASCAR, target shooting, and crossword puzzles.

Steve was preceded in death by his father Orville.

He is survived by his fiancee Brenda Speckel of Annandale; children Tracy Skonseng of St. Cloud, Jason (and Brandy) Skonseng of Andover, Cheryl of Isanti, and Steven, Jr. (and Judy) of Cambridge; mother Irene of Robbinsdale; brother Tom Sr. (and Joyce) of Minong, Wis.; sister Gloria (and Richard) Gillette of Houl-ton, Wis.; grandchildren Tyler and Desirae; nephew Tom Jr. (and Barbara); and great-niece Danielle.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Bruggenthies, Ron Ness, Bob Engelbretson, Greg Smegal, Nick Fylling, Jeremiah Speckel, and Paul Berg. Ruth Fry provided the music for the service.
