Luella Theis, 90

Luella Theis of Sartell, formerly of Kimball, died Friday, May 21, 2010, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 90.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kimbalf with Fr. Thomas Olson and Deacon Steve Yanish officiating. Burial folllowed at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Friends called from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, and at the church one hour prior to services. There was a prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Luella Francis Theis was born March 28,1920, in Kimball to Henry and Lucinda (Curtis) Dahnke. She married Oscar J. Theis Sept. 17, 1940, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kimball where she was a lifetime member. Oscar preceded her in death Aug. 5,2003.

Luella was a homemaker, and for 26 years she was a cook for Kimball Area Schools. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, bingo, and watching the Minnesota Twins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar, son-in-law Del Anders, brothers George, Chet and Eldon, and sister Agnes Boos.

Luella is survived by her children Audrey Anders of Litchfield, Don (and Liz) Theis of Ramsey, Doris (and Arnie) Mead of Clear Lake; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steve Mead, Brad, Scott and Duane Theis, Barrett and Bruce Anders, and Brad Shropshire. The music for the service was provided by St. Anne's Choir and organist Frosty Schiefelbein. Arrangements "were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
