Clinton Cossairt, 78

Clinton Cossairt of Sartell died Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids, surrounded by his family. He was 78.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids with Rev. Harvey Ehlers officiating. Friends called from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church in Sauk Rapids. Church prayers were at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Sartell.

Clinton E. Cossairt was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Kimball to Simon E. and Adella (Brinkman) Cossairt. He married Audrey DeYaeger Sept. 23, 1950, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Cloud; she preceded him in death June 10, 2004.

He worked at the Coke Bottling company, and later as a machinist at St. Regis-Champion Paper Mill in Sartell for 43 years. Clint served as president of the union for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids. He is a retired member of the Sartell-LeSauk Fire Department. Clint enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing, and fishing. Clint was an all-star basketball and football player, bowler, and softball

player. He holds a record in scoring at his alma mater, Sauk Rapids High School.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents, wife Audrey, son-in-law David Kosloske, and grandson Joey Schmid.

He is survived by children Carla (and Dennis) Skag of St. Cloud, Mitzi (and Joey) Chandler of Sauk Rapids, Dana (and Bob) Schmid of Sartell, Kay Kosloske of St. Cloud, and Con-nee "Cone" Cossairt of Cold Spring; sister Norgean Knafla of Sauk Rapids; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
