Fatal car accident

CopyThursday, Aug. 27, at 4:08 p.m., Meeker County Sheriff's Office took a report of an accident at the intersection of CSAH 28 and Minnesota High 4.
A 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van driven by Alvina Marie Erickson, age 71 of Grove City, was traveling northbound on Minnesota Highway 4, when she struck a truck and trailer on the southbound shoulder. The truck, a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, was connected to a 2001 trailer, both registered to Geyer Signal of St. Cloud.
Two employees were loading construction signs onto the back of the trailer when the van struck the trailer.
Both employees refused any medical attention. Alvina Erickson died before deputies arrived at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Minnesota Highway Patrol.
