Minnesota state parks merchandise summer clearance begins Aug. 26. Shoppers can save money and support Minnesota state parks during an end-of-summer clearance sale. The sale starts Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the camp stores and gift shops found at most state parks, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

While supplies last, deals include baseball caps for as little as $3.97, T-shirts and sweatshirts in child and adult sizes for $9. 97, and jackets for $19.97. Sale prices range from 15 percent to 75 percent off select merchandise. In addition to clothing, sale merchandise includes books, food items, toys and games, and nature-related gift items. Note that not all Minnesota state parks sell merchandise, and not all clearance items are available in all stores.

Proceeds from merchandise sales help fund resource management and education programs for the DNR Division of Parks and Trails. Cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard accepted.

A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and can be purchased at the park office.
