Sunday, Aug. 30, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office responded to a one-car accident with injuries on county Road 50 in Avon Township.

Leslie Buttweiler, age 39 of Avon, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche northbound on County Road 50 (about one-half mile south of County Road 159) and about one-quarter mile south of Columbia Gear at about 7 a.m. Buttweiler drove off the road and into the east ditch, where she hit an approach and drove back onto the county road. The Avalanche rolled; she was not wearing a seat-belt, and was ejected from the vehicle.

Buttweiler was transported, with substantial injuries, to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance.
