Tractor accident in Holding Twp.

Saturday, Oct. 24, Stearns County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident with injuries involving a tractor that left the roadway on River Street near Holdingford.

Clarence Namyst, age 78, was driving a 2750 John Deere tractor, (owned by Lee Namyst of Holding-ford), traveling eastbound on River St. near 165th Ave. As Namyst was driving, he was distracted when he grabbed for a piece of paper. He drove on the unpaved portion of the road and was not able to drive the tractor back onto the road. The tractor overturned into a ditch.

Holdingford Fire and Rescue, and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted the Sheriff's Office on the scene. Clarence Namyst was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance.
