Monday, Nov. 23, the Meeker County Sheriff's Office, with special agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives affected the arrest of Troy Henry Lade, age 34 of Eden Valley, stemming from a pipe bomb investigation that began in May 2008.

Subsequent investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Meeker County Sheriff's Office, and the Eden Valley Police Department led to Troy Lade being federally charged for the possession of a pipe bomb. The federal classification of "possession of an unregistered firearm" carries a potential penalty of 10 years in jail and/or a $250,000 fine.

After the Federal Warrant was issued, contact was made with Lade to turn himself in, which led to his arrest.

Troy Lade made his first appearance Monday, Nov. 23, before a United States Federal Magistrate in Minneapolis at the United States District Courthouse.
