Last week notices were sent to parents of Kimball students ages 5-9. Stearns County had finally received some of the H1N1 vaccines they had requested, and a limited number would be available for Kimball students Thursday afternoon, Nov. 19. Priority was given to students age 5-6, and to those with chronic medical conditions like asthma.

Rather than a crush of people lining up for vaccines, as has happened elsewhere in the state, the two-hour clinic was organized and with relatively few clients.

A total of 100 doses were available for Kimball students, 20 as injections and 80 as mist. Those who received the vaccine last week will need a second injection or mist when those vaccines become available again (possibly mid-December).
