TU ranked states top HBCU

The Tuskegee News of Tuskegee, Alabama

Tuskegee University was recently ranked the No. 1 institution in the state of Alabama and No. 6 in the nation among historically black colleges and universities by U.S. News and World Report.

Tuskegee, which is regularly ranked for its high academic standards and programs, also received the No. 7 spot in the South for the Best Baccalaureate College and No. 8 in the South for Great Schools, Great Prices.

Tuskegee University is a comprehensive institution, offering bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in 56 majors.

The University also offers the only School of Veterinary Medicine among HBCUs and an accredited program in aerospace science engineering. Tuskegee is fully accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
