Program can help pay for medicine

While the current economy is taking all kinds of hits and changes. One thing that continues is our health and the need for prescribed medications.

The Ohio County Health Coalition would like to share the following information with you.

There is a new program called Pfizer MAINTAIN that may be able to help. The program, which applies regardless of prior family income, is open for enrollment and applies to eligible Americans who have become unemployed since Jan. 1, 2009. It is designed to help unemployed Americans and their families who are uninsured and who are taking Pfizer medicines to continue treatment for free for up to one year or until they become re-insured (whichever comes first.) More than 70 Pfizer primary care medicines are available through the program. Pfizer may be able to help if you, (l)Are taking Pfizer medicine (2)Have recently become unemployed (3)Have no prescription coverage (4)Are experiencing financial hardship.

Get the application immediately by calling 866-706-2400, or visit www.PfizerhelpfulAn-swers.com to download a copy. Complete the easy application and mail to Pfizer MAINTAIN. If your application is approved, your medicine will be sent directly to your home for up to one year or until you become reinsured.

For those who do not qualify for Pfizer MAINTAIN, there may still be help available through Pfizer Helpful Answers, a family of patient assistance programs for he uninsured and under-insured who need help getting Pfizer medicines.
