Ira Mae Robinson

Ira Mae Robinson, 92, of Owensboro, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Owensboro Place Care & Rehab Center. She was born in Askins, Ky. and was a retired postmaster and store owner. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Owensboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Paul Robinson; two sons, Arnold Robinson and Larry Robinson; son-in-law, Noah Midkiff; a great-granddaughter, Mills-Anne Rowland; four sisters, Catherine Reynolds. Mary Thornberry, Maggie Ree Patton, and Georgia Lee Hines; and three brothers, J.T. Basham, William Basham, and Tom Basham.

Survivors include two daughters, Ann Etta Midkiff and Paula (Roger) Smith; a sister, Louise English; nine grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
