Stephanne Kitchens, a White City native, has been named the Chief Nursing Officer at the Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. In this position, Kitchens is responsible for the entire nursing operation, housekeeping and cleanliness compliance at the local medical facility.

Growing up as Stephanne Scoggins, she graduated from White City High School in 1995 where she participated in many school activities including basketball, volleyball and cheer leading. After high school, Stephanne worked at several vocations before earning her nursing degree at the Manhattan Area Technical College in 2003.

Prior to her assignment in Council Grove, Ms. Kitchens served as a medical surgical nurse at the Geary Community Hospital in Junction City; as the Charge Nurse at the Konza Prairie Community Health Center - and as the Director of Nursing for the Good Samaritan Society at Junction City.

Stephanne says she is excited about returning to Morris County and looks forward to a long and productive assignment at the Morris County Hospital. She and her two daughters, ages eight and 13, are currently looking for suitable housing in Council Grove or the surrounding area.
