FOE 830 Auxiliary holds April 26 meeting

On April 26, 2010, the FOE 830 Auxiliary meeting opened in regular form presided over by Melinda Smelley with 10 members present. There were no visiting sisters. Roll call of officer responded with 7 members absent. Minutes of previous meeting were read with no correction. Minutes of the previous meeting was written by the Secretary, Teresa Helton. Melinda asked if there were any corrections to be made. Glenna Mc Caleb made a motion we accept the minutes as written and Millie Vance seconded. Motion carried. Communications were read, the Auxiliary received "One member a month" sticker for the month of March. Bills were approved to be paid.

The visiting committee reported that a member had moved out of state. Melinda reported that she and Teresa Helton attended the Spring Conference that was held in Leavenworth.

The upcoming Potato Bar was discussed.

The FOE state convention will be held in June at Great Bend. Teresa had the paperwork for those wanting to attend.

Melinda brought up the election which is May 10, 2010 for the nomination for president between Madelyn Brown and Melinda Smelley, voting will be between 6pm-8:30pm according to the Auxiliary By-Laws.

The Golden Age Party will be May 12th from 7-9pm.

Under new business, Teresa read the new by-laws, this was the first reading. Mary Conrow read the Trustee Report.

Door Prize was won my Marilyn Ferris and Special Drawing by Tracy Harris.

All business having been disposed of, in accord with the laws of the order, the Auxiliary closed in due form to meet again at 7:30 PM on May 10, 2010.
