Ray Dean Battles

Ray Dean Battles, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at his residence in White City, Kansas.

He was born on January 7, 1943, the son of Anthony and Ocie Battles, in Baxter Springs, Kansas.

Ray was employed as a dry-wall installer in the construction industry for many years.

He married Phyllis E. (Taylor) Battles, and together they shared 21 years of marrage and they both had a passion for crusin' on their Harley-Davidson, along with their dog, Bubba.

Ray is survived by his wife, Phyllis E. Battles; four children, Annette, David, Patty and Henry; four grandchildren, Tyler, Forest, Kyle and Nicholas; two sisters, Lorene and Nadine; one brother, Robert; and two sister-in-laws, Mattie and Pat.

Four Step children, Margaret, Daniel, Michael, and Rich; twelve grandchildren and twelve Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Battles and Art Battles; one sister, Thelma Battles, and man's best friend, Bubba.

A Celebration of Ray's Life will be conducted in Sacramento, California at a later date.
