I know this it late, but several things have made it so. Seems things keep happening. I thought things were rolling along when I fell again. I went to the emergency and tests showed okay. I continued to have back pain and more tests showed several fractured vertebrae. They used some of the newest treatment and injected glue in my back. Was an outpatient surgery and was successful. My back pain much improved but was black and blue for awhile. Now, I don't have any pain.

When we got home, we found my apartment had taken a bath. The sprinkler malfunctioned and everything got wet. By the time I got home my room was bare. They moved all my things to storage and to dry out. They moved me to a new room, on a different hall, and I had a roommate. She was unable to communicate and needed lots of help to even move her. It was like being alone, but there was a body in the other bed.

I was there about two weeks, they'd said it might take six or more before I could move back. They sent all my clothes to the laundry to get clean and then we resorted and got them back in the closets. Didn't lose any clothes. My furniture we thought was all ruined but things dried out and was cleaned and able to save it all. My TV and radio even continue to work. The staff was very helpful. Am now in the process of replacing wet books with new. We had been told it'd be several weeks before I could move back in, but we came to look at the room and was told I could move in that afternoon. They moved all the furniture back in and now I'm back home trying to return to a normal routine. Only one of the four sprinklers in my room went off, thank goodness.

I play a poor southern man in my Wesley Players skit. I have to slow down my speech and draw out my conversation. They are looking for clothes for my costume so I can really get into the part.

Jill, my granddaughter, is coming with her son for a few days the end of August. It's been about a year since I saw her so am looking forward to a good visit. Her daughter Erin and her fiance Grant stopped for a visit twice last week on their way from Dallas to D.C. Both look so young, but I guess 22 and 23 can be old enough. I did enjoy their time with me.

Marc and Amy's family have been bringing supper out once a week for awhile. We eat, visit and enjoy being together. Olivia and Trevor keep us on our toes and entertained.

Hope I can get my monthly update more on time. I think I'm a couple months behind now. Take care and you can turn off the heat!!
